Corporate Sales Director

About the Role:

As our Corporate Sales Director, you will be responsible for booking and managing corporate and nonprofit events while also developing an in-house event program featuring conferences, cultural events, and more. This role is perfect for a creative, strategic thinker who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively to grow our venue’s presence in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:

    • Proactively identify and engage corporate and nonprofit clients to book events at our venue.

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses, organizations, and event planners.

    • Network at industry events, conferences, and community gatherings to promote the venue and procure new business.

    • Drive revenue growth by securing new bookings and expanding our client base.

  • Event Programming & Development:

    • Conceptualize and implement an in-house event series (e.g., conferences, speaking panels, artist markets/fairs, cultural events).

    • Partner with local businesses, artists, and thought leaders to curate compelling event experiences.

    • Collaborate with PAIKKA Staff to ensure successful execution of events.

  • Client & Venue Management:

    • Guide clients through the booking and planning process, ensuring a seamless experience.

    • Work closely with vendors and partners to coordinate event logistics.

    • Maintain detailed records of inquiries, bookings, and client communications.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in event sales, venue management, business development, or a related field.

  • Ability to strategize and execute sales and marketing initiatives.

  • Experience working with corporate and nonprofit clients is a plus.

  • Familiarity with event management software and sales tracking preferred.

Compensation:

  • Commission-based with competitive earning potential plus monthly retainer. Negotiable

  • Additional incentives for in-house event program success.
